One of the major tech websites even has a little downloadable tool to enable WPV in Windows 10. I just build version 2 profiles when I calibrate and profile my monitor (which is the default with X-Rite software on Windows machines), and all is good. Windows Photo Viewer is color-managed, except that it does not play nicely with version 4 ICC profiles. I did this with my current work computer, and I'm happy with the results. I've also tried JPEGviewer, but it was having issues with color management, too.Įven on a machine that has been Windows 10 since day one, you can-with some changes-use the older Windows Photo Viewer familiar to Windows 7. I'd like to find a program that just has basic viewing capabilities, and can show the image full screen or in a borderless window.
When I view the same image in other software, I can see the difference between the sRGB and aRGB. However, if I open an Adobe RGB photo, it looks exactly like the sRGB version. Any suggestions on a good, free photo viewer for windows 10? I've been using Fastone, but it appears to have issues with color spaces.
